Connecting three ideas

Yesterday, while talking with a friend Sunny Rathour, he pointed me towards Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, as he explained that; I was wondering about the close connection among that hierarchy, Indian Ashram Dharma and the Happiness Chemicals Simon Sinek once talks about. Anyone else thinks alike and sees the commonality? Any other concept of similar traits?
